People + Processes Your keys to on-site efficiency

It’s Business 101 to want your property run efficiently.

But what does that look like at the site level and how can you assess whether you’re winning or losing the battle?

Two words: people + processes.

Let’s start with the people.

Take a moment to evaluate how knowledgeable the members of your On-site Staff are on a scale of  1-10.

If any member of your on-site staff scores less than a 7, it’s time to provide additional training.

The more knowledgeable each staff member is, the greater their efficiency at assisting current and prospective residents, which keeps your property running smoothly.

Pro Tip: Summerfield’s Portfolio Managers provide continuous training to better the skills and knowledge of community staff. We recommend weekly trainings.

Onward to processes.

Does your property have a written plan that outlines how to take care of your community and its residents?

No?

It’s time to put one together so you can leverage processes.

Processes create a repeatable workflow.

This will increase efficiency by preventing important tasks from falling through the cracks.

Pro Tip: Be sure to include activities related to attending to the needs of residents, guests, and the property in your workflow plan.
